We want every Bear with Me purchase to fit, feel and function as expected. Our process is straightforward, fair and aligned with South Africa’s consumer law.
1) Clothing and Apparel
We understand that fit and comfort are essential to every purchase. Each of our clothing products includes a detailed size guide and fit description to help you choose the correct size before placing your order. Please take a moment to review this information carefully, as sizes can vary slightly between styles and cuts.
Exchange window: 30 days from delivery.
Refund window: 14 days from delivery for a refund, or up to 30 days for store credit.
Condition: Unworn, unwashed, swing tags attached, and in original packaging.
First exchange (SA only): Your first size exchange on a full-priced item is free.
Returns or exchanges due to incorrect sizing are accepted; however, customers are responsible for return courier costs unless the item was incorrectly supplied or defective. To help avoid this, we recommend using the size chart and reading the product fit notes before completing your order.
Tip: Try items on indoors and avoid deodorant or fragrance transfer or any marks on the fabric.
2) Caps, Umbrellas & Lifestyle Accessories
- Return window: 14 days from delivery for refund or replacement.
- Condition: Unused and in original packaging.
- Faulty or damaged: Notify us within 7 days for repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Protection Act.
- Colour/style exchanges: Accepted within 14 days; courier fees apply.
3) Coffee & Consumables
For hygiene and food-safety reasons, consumables cannot be returned once opened.
- Quality guarantee: Report any issue within 7 days of delivery (e.g., damaged, spoiled or incorrect item) and we’ll replace or issue store credit.
4) Refunds
- Method: Refunded to your original payment method via our payment gateway, unless you choose store credit.
- Timing: 5–7 working days after we receive and quality-check your return (your bank may take an extra 2–5 working days to reflect funds).
- Partial refunds: Only items returned are refunded.
- Courier costs: For change-of-mind returns, outbound and return courier fees are deducted. If we sent a faulty/incorrect item, we cover courier fees.
Note: Refunds are issued only after goods are received and inspected to confirm they meet return conditions.
5) Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items (All Categories)
If you receive the wrong product or a manufacturing fault, contact us within 7 days at info@bearwithme.co.za with photos and your order number. Approved faults are repaired, replaced or refunded under the Consumer Protection Act within six months of purchase.
6) Non-Returnable Items
- Products that have been specially made, altered, or personalised at a customer’s request.
- Opened coffee or other consumables.
- Final-sale or clearance items (clearly marked on product pages).
- Gift cards.
7) How to Start a Return or Exchange
- Email info@bearwithme.co.za with your order number and request (exchange, refund or replacement).
- We’ll confirm eligibility and send courier or drop-off instructions.
- Pack items securely with all tags and documents.
- Once received and inspected, we’ll process your exchange, credit or refund within 5–7 working days.
8) Legal & Policy Notes
- Bear with Me complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Electronic Communications & Transactions Act (ECTA) and POPIA.
- Territory: We currently ship and service returns within South Africa only.
- This policy applies to all purchases made through www.bearwithme.co.za, as well as related selling sources such as our official social media pages and verified phone or direct sales managed by Bear with Me representatives.
